Our Inspiration
Pink Night Information
Pink Night is a night to celebrate the lives of breast cancer survivors and those who were taken from us. Our goal is to educate as many men and women on early testing and financial assistance as possible, while raising monetary funds to support the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer cause. The inspiration behind Pink Night began in 2007 by a few driven employees of Financial Plus Credit Union in Flint, MI. These employees began rallying their friends, family, and community to gather for one night in October to raise funds for their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk team. The first event held was appropriately named, “Pink Night.”
Resources
Below are some helpful resources we’ve found to help educate everyone on breast cancer. Please share some of these helpful sites with your friends and family to heighten awareness and action for early testing.
1) Genesee County Health Department:
Breast Cancer | Cerical
2) FREE Breast and Cervical Cancer Program.
5) American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Information Website.
Our Goals
Pink Night has grown substantially since its first event from raising $1,000 in 2007 to $27,000 in 2011 and just over $69,300 in 2015. The key to Pink Night’s growth has been rallying passionate and like minded community leaders together. Every person and business can help make a difference.
We are striving to raise $55,000 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer this year! Help donate to a great cause by attending the event or becoming a sponsor.

Saving Lives
The American Cancer Society is putting your dollars to work now - doing the most in every community to help women with cancer today and working tirelessly to find cures to end the disease tomorrow. Since Making Strides began 22 years ago, breast cancer death rates have declined 32 percent. The progress we’re making because of Making Strides supporters is nothing short of remarkable. But it is no time to rest. When more walkers raise money to fight breast cancer, there will be more survivors celebrating more birthdays.
